I'm almost at day 30 already...time has flown by pretty fast! Apparently on day 30 I should weigh myself, take some measurements and take a picture (I already took a "before" picture but you guys are sooooooo not seeing that yet) haha. Today was a really good day, I managed to space out my meals fairly well considering I was at work and tempted by my lunch box. I didn't work out today, which is fine since I want my workout sched. to be Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun. I'm supposed to go to spinning class tomorrow which I hope I can do because it's supposed to snow or something. I'm really full right now, which is great because sometimes after dinner I get a sweet or chocolate craving but tonight my stomach actually hurts a little...too many veggies maybe? Here's what I ate, you can judge for yourself!
Breakfast:
- 3/4c. egg whites with sauteed peppers, mushrooms & spinach with 1/2 slice swiss cheese and 1tbsp salsa
-1 trader joe's potato pancake
*note to self: 3/4c egg whites is TOO MANY EGG WHITES. It didn't look like much in the measuring cup but the second it hit the pan it fluffed up into a huge omelette. 1/4c will do the job next time.
Snack:
-1 sugar-free chocolate pudding cup with 1 banana to dip in it.
Lunch:
-2oz whole wheat pasta with 1tbsp fresh marinara sauce & 1 link chicken sausage
*This was really delicious. My dad makes awesome sauce. Like I've said before I'm not totally crazy about the sausage flavor I chose but it'll suffice for now.
Snack:
-1 packet plain instant oatmeal with 4 blueberries, 3 blackberries, and 3 slices of banana with a dash of cinnamon.
*So I did something different with the oatmeal this time. Instead of heating it up THEN adding the fruit, I added the fruit first THEN heated it up, and the fruit became awesome and mushy and oozing with juice! It was so so so tasty. This is a winner!
Dinner:
-Whole wheat wrap with 1tbsp red pepper spread, 1/2 slice swiss cheese, sauteed peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach. I also added a small drizzle of lemon-infused olive oil and some red pepper flakes.
*This was really delicious and substantial considering it was just vegetables. The olive oil and red pepper spread really gave it a flavorful kick.
I already cooked for tomorrow even though I know I'm going to be home...it's just easier for me to have everything ready so I have no excuse to be lazy! I tried getting creative with tomorrow's dinner and it didn't work so well. You'll all get to hear about that in tomorrow's post! My friend went shopping today and bought me my chobani yogurt (yay!) it's just so good. I didn't realize it has a lot of sugar in it (a lot for yogurt) but it has no fat and TONS of protein. It also keeps me really full so it will hold me over longer than regular yogurt. I will just try to eat it sparingly...she bought me a 12-pack! Anyway, today was pretty ordinary and I'm feeling great...I feel a little tubbs right now but I think that's because that dinner was really filling...I can totally shrug it off this time :-)
